$83.3 million milestone: Transforming the lives of WA children in 2025 and beyond

At its annual Giving Celebration breakfast on Friday morning, Telethon revealed the 161 beneficiaries, children’s charities, and organisations that will receive crucial funding in 2025.

In a testament to the generosity of Western Australians, the record-breaking fundraising total of $83.3 million raised last year will directly support initiatives aligned with Telethon’s mission: to build a brighter future for sick, vulnerable, and disadvantaged children across the state.

Telethon Chair, Richard Goyder AO, expressed gratitude for the community’s support, which ensures Telethon’s continued impact in providing much-needed hope and assistance to families in need.

“We deeply appreciate WA’s generosity, which enables us to deliver essential support to children and families across the state,” Mr Goyder said.

“These funds will deliver over 300 grants, supporting critical medical services, pioneering research, community programs, and specialised equipment—ensuring children and families receive the care they deserve.”

“Telethon stands at the forefront of providing hope and delivering life-changing outcomes for those who need it most.”

As the home of the world’s highest-donating telethon, the Telethon Trust sets a global benchmark for compassion.

This extraordinary generosity directly fuels the meaningful work of the beneficiaries, ensuring a brighter future for those most in need.

The theme of hope resonated throughout the event, culminating in a powerful finale as Human Nature performed Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, a surprise ending for a beautiful celebration.

Since its inception in 1968, Telethon has raised over $688 million, benefiting generations of Western Australians and transforming the lives of countless children.
