The 92.9 Kids Appeal has managed to raise almost half a million dollars for Telethon in just two weeks.
A cheque for $481, 524.64 was handed over to Princess Margaret Hospital this morning by the station’s breakfast shows hosts Lisa Ferndanez, Paul Hogan and Basil Zempilas – the largest amount raised in four years of the appeal.
A number of guests, along with the children and staff flooded the main foyer at PMH.
Last year’s Australia’s Got Talent winner Andrew Da Silva performed for the crowd while West Coast Eagle’s Josh Kennedy stopped in for a chat.
Seven’s Mark Gibson and Angela Tsun participated in handing over the final cheque.
But it’s not over yet though – with some donations still to come in and the phone rooms still open till 3pm this afternoon, meaning the appeal could read $500,000 by Monday.
