Bring your family and friends to the Telethon Family Festival presented by Coles on Sunday October 22 between 10am to 4pm.
Taking over the Perth CBD, the festival will run along Wellington Street from RAC Arena to Yagan Square and throughout Forest Chase with free entry, free rides and free public transport for everyone to enjoy a wonderful day of family fun and entertainment.

1. FREE CARNIVAL RIDES
Enjoy a variety of rides and amusements at the Lotterywest Kids Carnival. Take on your friends on the bumper cars, take a ride on the swinging chairs or turn to the classic spinning cup and saucer and mini-ferris wheel.
You can also head to City of Perth’s Forrest Place Fun Zone with a synthetic all-ages ice rink and JUMBO inflatables. Top it off with showbags and sideshow games and you’re in for one fun-filled day!
2. LIVE PERFORMANCES TO FUEL YOUR LEISURE
Be entertained all-day by a variety of Western Australia’s talented performers at the Telethon Community stage presented by Crown. Be wowed by the Scitech Science Shows, join in the Club Fiesta Fit Telethon dance, witness a traditional Chinese Dragon and Lion Dance, or sit back and enjoy the live tunes from local Perth musicians. The Telethon Community Stage presented by Crown will have non-stop entertainment for the whole Festival.
3. GET A SELFIE WITH THE STARS
We’re excited to have so many stars making their way to Perth to join in the festivities of the Telethon Weekend. From Aussie rock royalty Jimmy Barnes, disco-dancing Marcia Hines and the fun and bubbly Emma Memma, to our Channel 7 stars from Home and Away, SAS Australia, Better Homes and Gardens and many more. We also can’t forget social media sensations The Rybka Twins and Ben and Zara. Come for a meet and greet with your favourite stars outside the RAC Arena. Get a selfie and a signature to keep the memories alive!
4. CHECK OUT THE REACH OF TELETHON
Learn about all the amazing work our Telethon beneficiaries do on the APM Charity Trail including activities for the entire family. Take on the climbing wall challenge with the Cahoots climbing wall, participate in musical activities with Australian Children’s Music Foundation or have allergy friendly face painting by the Allergy Support Hub!
Make sure you pick up an APM Charity Passport and collect your stamps along the trail, hand your completed passport in at the APM tent for your chance to win some great prizes for the whole family. Get started by heading to Level 1 inside RAC Arena to obtain your special Fat Cat stamp!
5. WORK UP A SWEAT
Experience the thrill of inclusive sports with wheelchair basketball and wheelchair football showcased outside RAC Arena, courtesy of Rebound WA, WA All Abilities Football Association, Starkick & Swan District Football Club. The Precinct will feature a Rebound WA “All-stars vs Whizz Kids” Wheelchair Basketball Demonstration Game, where sports professionals, led by Ex Wildcats Captain Shawn Redhage, will be pitted against the kids.
You can also visit the HBF Fitness Challenge & Active Zone to cheer on rugby league legend Matt Fuller and the HBF team as they ride for 6 hours non-stop to raise money for Telethon.
6. TANTALISE YOUR TASTE BUDS
Eat and drink some of Perth’s yummiest food from a huge range of food trucks and vendors including baos, curries, pizza, crepes, burgers, bratwurst, tacos, dumplings and more. For those with a sweeter tooth, festival favourites include fairy floss, ice cream, donuts as well as coffees and juices are available. Telethon beneficiary, Ozharvest will also show you how to make an apple slinky!
7. CHECKOUT THE FESTIVAL NEWBIES
New for 2023, the LEGO Lounge will take over Bankwest Lounge inside RAC Arena. Explore the Lego brickpit, and bring your imaginations to life with endless LEGO building possibilities. As an added bonus, over the course of the day 6,000 LEGO mini-figurines will be given away to visitors to the Family Festival!
8. SOMETHING FOR FAMILIES, FOODIES AND FESTIVAL GOERS
Yagan Square will be a hot spot of interactive and accessible activities and entertainment, craft activities for take-home keepsakes, educational and cultural community experiences and special appearances by Spare Parts Puppet Theatre and Sensorium.
The Lotterywest Chill Out Zone, located on Telethon Ave, will feature face painting, a silent disco, cuddly animal farm, inflatables and free popcorn
