With less than a month to go, Telethon 2024 is set to shine with a new theme, Incredible Together, reminding us that incredible things happen when we come together.
This year’s theme not only celebrates the ongoing commitment to improving WA children’s health and wellbeing, but also the extraordinary WA community that continues to make this possible.
Channel 7 Telethon Trust Chairman Richard Goyder AO said the theme Incredible Together served as a powerful reminder that the heart of Telethon lies in the collective efforts of the entire state.
“Telethon is so much more than just a charity; it’s a celebration of the spirit of West Australians who come together to support our most vulnerable children,” Mr Goyder said.
Incredible Together pays tribute to the everyday heroes who contribute to Telethon’s success. From the doctors, nurses, and researchers tirelessly working to improve children’s health, to the families who inspire us with their courage; from the corporate donations from across the nation, to the generous community members who give what they can – every single person plays a vital role in Telethon’s mission.
“It shows how our united efforts, no matter how big or small, can create an extraordinary impact for children and families across our state, proving time and time again that when we come together, we are unstoppable,” Mr Goyder said.
Since 1968, Telethon has raised over $600 million for children’s health and medical research and continues to inspire hope and create life-changing outcomes for sick and vulnerable children.
As we gear up for the 57th Telethon Weekend, the theme Incredible Together is a testament to the unwavering spirit of the WA community, and how when we work together, we are unstoppable and simply, incredible!
