Little Telethon Stars check out supercars ahead of 2024 Alinta Energy Christmas Pageant

The Little Telethon Stars have had a chance to live life in the fast lane ahead of the Alinta Energy Christmas Pageant on Saturday night.

Florence Shanks, Nazeem Fahmi, Nate Fearnall, and Charlee Hosking had the opportunity to check out a fleet of colourful supercars before they drive down St Georges Terrace in the pageant.

The rare vehicles have been provided by online gaming tycoon Laurence Escalante, a long-time supporter of Telethon.

Mr Escalante’s fleet includes an orange McLaren 750, blue Ferrari 812 GTS, yellow Ferrari convertible SF90 and a teal Lamborghini Aventador.

“I have a young family myself so Telethon is such a great cause to be able to donate the cars and the experience with the kids,” Mr Escalante said.

“Unfortunately, I won’t be here in person but I’m happy to continue to donate these experiences and make the pageant for Telethon and the kids more and more exciting.

“We look forward to continuing it.”

Young Nate was the most excited after starting the engine on one of the Ferraris.

“It’s very fast, it’s very cool,” he said.

“I’m so excited for Christmas. I wish for a Lamborghini.”

More than 50,000 people are expected at the pageant, which begins at 7.30pm on Saturday.

The parade will have about 90 groups ranging from dancers, vehicles, bands, fire twirlers and costume characters.

The pageant will also be broadcast on Channel 7.
