Here at Telethon we are so proud to fund programs that offer unique experiences and create meaningful connections for children living with health challenges and disabilities in WA.
Ocean Heroes is a Western Australia based charity that aims to improve the wellbeing of those living with Autism and their families through surfing.
The not-for-profit was set up by experienced local surfers with one simple mission, use surfing as way for children living with ASD to learn social skills, boost self-esteem and connect with others.
Since its inception, Ocean Heroes has introduced over 5,000 people with ASD to the thrill of catching a wave!
The team behind Ocean Heroes is working hard on their next event series with funds from Telethon going towards the 2022 Regional Events Program.
