On Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 20, RAC Arena in Perth’s CBD will host the state’s biggest weekend of giving!
It’s 26 hours of non-stop entertainment, broadcast live on Channel 7 and 7plus, featuring spectacular opening and closing shows with some of Australia’s top talent in TV, music and sports.
What can you expect? Plenty of laughter, unscripted and candid moments, panels featuring all our favourite stars, heartfelt stories plus the much-loved lip-sync battles.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19
- The broadcast will commence at 7:00pm with the Opening Show featuring amazing live entertainment, interviews and donations including;
- Performances from Guy Sebastian, Rob Mills, Samantha Jade, Human Nature and Royston Noell.
- A special interview with our Little Telethon Stars, Florence, Nate, Nazeem, and Charlee who are ready to take on the task of inspiring our state.
- Endless entertainment with Celebrity Lip Sync, Crown’s Donation Dash, and much-loved banter around the panel desk.
- We’ll cross to the Perthnow Call Centre, the heart and soul of the broadcast.
- From 11:00pm-2:00am the Arena will be rocking with the WA Music Showcase featuring some of WA’s best original artists including End of Fashion, Sash Seabourne, Drea, The Silent Deeds, Angie Colman, Ricky Neil Jr, Ragdoll and Emily Joy. Read more here.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20
- From 2:00am-7:00am, Ben O’Shea and Famous Sharron will be hosting the Snooze Slumber Party full of fun, comedy, and local performers.
- Between 7.00am-10.00am Telethon’s morning show takes over with plenty of live entertainment including special performances by the Rybka Twins, Emma Memma and our very own Fat Cat.
- Telethon continues throughout Sunday with regular crosses to our Perthnow Call Centre, updates from some amazing people challenging themselves for Telethon in the Challenge Yourself Hub, heaps more live entertainment including Crown’s Donation Dash, live performances from PROOF The Band, End of Fashion, The Murphy Brothers and many more talented West Australians.
- The Telethon Family Festival presented by Coles, will run from 10:00am-4:00pm. The festivities take place inside RAC Arena and flow onto Wellington Street, which will closed between Elder and William Street through to Yagan Square.
- At 6pm we cross live to Seven Perth studios for 7NEWS.
- From 7.00pm the Closing Show is set to entertain and delight with another huge lineup including Vanessa Amorosi, Samantha Jade, Guy Sebastian, Human Nature and Rob Mills as we edge closer to the final tally announcement.
TELETHON FAMILY FESTIVAL
To all the families, foodies and festival goers – the Telethon Family Festival presented by Coles will be the place to be on Sunday October 20 from 10am to 4pm. Enjoy free carnival rides, roving entertainment and food trucks galore – all supporting an incredible cause. All day attractions:
- Free carnival rides at the Lotterywest Kids Carnival.
- Telethon Avenue will be filled with inflatables, a cuddly farm, mini golf and Radio Lollipop’s karaoke!
- See WA local talent and special performances at the Telethon Community Stage presented by Crown.
- Explore the work of more than 100 Telethon beneficiaries along the APM Charity Zone inside RAC Arena and along Wellington Street.
- Interact and get a photo with our roving entertainment and street performers.
- Enjoy some fun tunes and games with the Nova Casanovas.
Inside RAC Arena:
- Watch the live broadcast for a gold coin donation between ticketed shows.
- Fun and giveaways at the LEGO Lounge.
- Come and cheer on our fundraisers in the Challenge Yourself Hub on Level 1.
- Grab yourself some Telethon merchandise from the Merchandise desk.
- Get a selfie at The West photo booth.
